I currently use a Ryrie study Bible (NAS) but I own, or have owned, NIV and other translations. I use this bible alongside a copy of
The Complete Works of Oswald Chambers. As of 2012 Jul, I have been reading a "message" from the Complete Works since 2011 Jan, and a conservative estimate is that I'll be reading that book for another few years.
I own two additional NAS that were
gifts some years ago; a Topical Chain Study given by my mother (date unknown), and the other was given to me by a college professor in the early 1980s.
My wife "borrowed" the gift from the college professor and now it's falling apart. It's only been recently I've become comfortable writing in books.
One of my treasures
is a
Scottish Gaelic Bible
which was sent to me by a church in Scotland
I wrote to after attending a service in January 2010. Another
treasure is
The New Testament (and Psalms) in Scots Gaelic
, brought to me from Scotland by a friend.
Below is a list of a few books in my library. The original reading list was longer and divided into sections, but
this represents my most recent additions and you'll no doubt note a "Scottish" theme.

The Psalms in Scots
Diary of an Old Soul
The Upside of Adversity
The New Testament in Scots
The Wyse-Sayin's o' Solomon
